Why do I have allergies?

Every year, when flowers and trees are in bloom, people complain of allergies. But in reality, allergies are just the tip of the iceberg! Allergies are a sign that the body is struggling on the inside and its flow system is compromised.”

Key points of this video:

  • Allergies typically manifest with sneezing, a runny nose, sinus pressure, red, itchy eyes, postnasal drip and even skin rashes.

  • Allergies are actually not really caused by pollen floating around.

  • Allergies are a sign that our bodies are struggling from the inside out and pollen can make this struggle worse.

  • There are one or more organ systems that are compromised when we experience the symptoms of allergies.

    • 1) the neuroendocrine system which comprises all the hormones in our body; this is a delicate system of checks and balances

    • 2) the gut which is responsible for the digestion and absorption of food. It starts with the saliva in the mouth (should be a neutral pH around 7) and continues with the pH of the stomach (should be very acidic, around 1)

    • 3) the drainage system which in addition to Kidney and Liver, is also the skin and our breath.

  • Did you know we detox through the skin and every time we take a deep breath?

  • Alternative therapies, such as acupuncture and nutritional therapies can help restore the flow in your body and make your body systems work better.

  • Do the simplest detox of all: take deep breaths! This will help with your allergy symptoms as well.
