Why do I have allergies?
Every year, when flowers and trees are in bloom, people complain of allergies. But in reality, allergies are just the tip of the iceberg! Allergies are a sign that the body is struggling on the inside and its flow system is compromised.”
Key points of this video:
Allergies typically manifest with sneezing, a runny nose, sinus pressure, red, itchy eyes, postnasal drip and even skin rashes.
Allergies are actually not really caused by pollen floating around.
Allergies are a sign that our bodies are struggling from the inside out and pollen can make this struggle worse.
There are one or more organ systems that are compromised when we experience the symptoms of allergies.
1) the neuroendocrine system which comprises all the hormones in our body; this is a delicate system of checks and balances
2) the gut which is responsible for the digestion and absorption of food. It starts with the saliva in the mouth (should be a neutral pH around 7) and continues with the pH of the stomach (should be very acidic, around 1)
3) the drainage system which in addition to Kidney and Liver, is also the skin and our breath.
Did you know we detox through the skin and every time we take a deep breath?
Alternative therapies, such as acupuncture and nutritional therapies can help restore the flow in your body and make your body systems work better.
Do the simplest detox of all: take deep breaths! This will help with your allergy symptoms as well.
